The Vic Firth Robert van Sice Series feature two different lines of mallets: Mono-Tonal and Multi-Tonal. The M115 medium hard marimba mallets are in the Mono-Tonal line, featuring rubber cores wrapped with layers of yarn with varying tension between layers, allowing little contact noise. The M115 are designed to cover the upper octaves of marimba, producing bright sounds without getting harsh.

The M115 feature long maple shafts for extra reach at larger intervals, which is great for modern marimba music, and are a great choice for a hard mallet in a graduated set.
